April 2012 As holiday destination Carriacou is somewhat off the beaten track, but for those willing to make the short journey from Grenada, it will be a memorable experience. The diving within the Sandy Island/Oyster Bay Marine Protected Area is pristine, and the island itself is a beautiful gem free of large scale resorts and the trappings of mass market holidays.

February 2007 My wife and I dived 4 of the sites with Max, the owner of the 5 star PADI centre, Silver Diving. We were the only divers at these sites. The water temperature was about 27oC and mild currents. At Mabouya, Magic Gardens, there is a wreck siting upright at 24 metres which is currently being colonised by coral and is complete. A little further along the gentle sloping shelf at about 20 metres or less are bubbles of vocanic in all directions - amazing! At Mabouya, Sharky Hideaway, there was a large number of canyons along with a nice nurse shark. If I were to return here I would dive again with Max.
