February 2005 This is an inland freshwater site - magnificent natural springs that are officially the clearest water in the world (measured at 62m viz!). Unbelievable. Vey cold though - about 11 degrees all year round due to the constant filtering of the water, so I advise a drysuit. Can only dive in it for 15 mins, but that's all you need and well worth the trip; I have never been able to see so clearly underwater. Plenty of trout, a few freshwater crayfish, and loads of plant life. Careful you don't get thrown around too much by the spring outlets though!
