December 2010 Not many tourists around in the winter. Very quiet in resort. Water quite cool in winter so take a nice semi-dry!

October 2008 Great area to learn to dive and get to advanced open water, after that you should go to sharm to see the fish, but turkey is a good place to learn as there are not many distractions whilst doing your drills. Very good place to use DPV's as there are many rocky outcrops and caverns to get into, and DPV's are fun anyway.

September 2000 My very first dive. I saw lots of fish but didn't have a clue what they were. It was good enough for me to come home and sign up for my open water and the rest, as they say, is history!

September 2006 dived with aquapro divers who are a small , friendly bunch of reprobates...the diving was good with great viz saw herding barracuda, some large grouper and lots of small stuff...better than it was 2 years ago...did my advanced o/w there with Ugur one of the instructors who made the whole thing so easy with his explanations and encouragement.....the only downside was a dive with someone who decided that swimming with his arms was the thing to do...he draqgged the d/v out of my mouth and loosened three of my front teeth... that put an end to my diving for the rest of the week..

June 2006 I did 19 dives with EDC (European Diving Center) in this area, none of them I would really return to dive again, the location is totally over fished and the only things to see are starfish and urchins. The dive sites could be interesting if you are a geologist or just like looking at lots of rocks and the odd broken Amphora. EDC are more interested in the first time divers and selling courses than diving with experienced divers, but saying that all the staff are very friendly and helpfull. The water was cold I was in a 5mm Semidry and 5mm shorty and we all felt the cold, lowest temp was 16.8C, avg 17C, it was comfortable generally above 6 meters. If you’re an experienced diver I would recommend that you don’t dive here and take a drive up to Kas for far better dives, see review.

September 2005 The friendly atmosphere was great and professional approach was reassuring. Had a lovely time relaxing on the boat between dives as the mountain scenery is stunning. Highlight was the dolphins on the way back to the centre for a well earned Efes (beer)

June 2005 callis and fethiye good resorts , European Dive Centre well organised and friendly. all boat diving, 2/3 dives per day, not much fish life, although some octopus and a couple of large grouper. Other stuff to do in the area as well.

August 1999 Even though I visited Turkey with my husband not long after completing my advanced open water, EDC was an excellent dive operation to go with. It was just the right type of diving we needed (at the time) to gain experience. Water temps on average at 25 metres 27 degrees. No currents to speak of. Well looked after on the boats all day and well fed also! The Divers Bar was an excellent social get together at the end of a long day's diving!
