November 2009 I dived with Blue Bottom Diving & Tenerife Scuba (4 rib dives in total) Loads of fish including Atlantic Rays, Common Rays, Moray Eels, Dolphins, Barracuda, Bream, Mullet, Puffers, Roncador plus many others. Great diving, warm waters, great weather all year round. No more time share sellers as they are now banned from the islands :-)

May 2009 Dived with Tim and Rob from The Dive Shop Tenerife and couldn't ask for a more friendly group. Keep returning year after year with these guys so they must be doing something right. :-)

March 2008 20 dive sites within 30 minutes by RIB of Los Christianos. Water temp of 19oC at 25m in March meant boots and long suits, but clear water and guaranteed sightings made up for it.

Wreck Dives:

Here are the wreck dives we know of for Tenerife.

El Condesito
Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews
This was a large coaster carrying a cargo of concrete which crashed into one of the walls at the lighthouse. Lying between 10-15 meters the wreck itself gives a good length of time to visit different rooms inside of the wreck. Access is easy from the forward hold swimming through the remains of the cargo. The wreck is home to a family of Trumpet Fish and Octopus with the top of the wreck surrounded by thousands of Sardines.

18m / 59ft
Accidental sinking: 01-Jan-1972 Wreck penetration is possible. Technical or decompression diving. More info...
Diver reviews for El Condesito:
Dived it with Tenerifescuba - they were brilliant; lots of fish life - couple of trigger fish tried to cause a problem; wreck is breaking up but lots to see; only about 16m max. dived it with my 14 year old; some stonefish on wreck - so care; quite an easy dive;

Dived El Condesito in May 2006 with Aqua Marina PADI 5 star centre in Los Cristianos. Excellent hosts and a very good dive site. Wreck is not deep and I visited on only my second dive after open water qualification. Plenty of marine life live in and around the wreck. Cargo of cement bags still reside in the aft hold. Bows are broken off and the remains of this section lie beside main hull. Located very close to the shore in a natural amphitheatre of rock walls. An excellent first wreck dive for the newly qualified.

El Meridian
Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews
The Meridian was a german WWII mine sweeper used in later life as a dolphin viewing ship, but now sits on the seabed at 30m not far from the Condesita wreck, having been deliberately sunk as a dive attraction. Currently still has its mast and some rigging standing and all areas inside the wreck are accessible although the companionway to the engine room is quite narrow. Due to the square profile and depth of this dive, this is suitable for advanced divers only but makes for an excellent Nitrox Dive.
26m / 85ft
30m / 98ft
Deliberately sunk: 01-Sep-2005 Wreck penetration is possible. Technical or decompression diving. More info...
Diver reviews for El Meridian:
Great wreck. Steel superstructure and wooden hull. You can enter the bridge and read the dials etc. (thankfully still intact and long may this remain so !). The ship was being towed out to a shallower dive location but went down before they got there. Hence it's quite deep (upto 30m) and the current runs fast at this exposed spot. Therefore a AOW dive with good fins on ! Descent is via a line. Ascent can be along the mast. Viz fantastic. You can see all of the wreck from the surface. It makes for a nice view as you ascend to the safety stop.
