Tenerife is the largest of the 7 Canary Islands, which are in the Atlantic Ocean. Although the islands are formally part of Spain they operate independantly. The climate is constant all year round with air temperatures of 75 - 84 degrees and water temperatures of 68 - 78 degrees.
The visibility is generally 25 metres all year and the fish life is fantastic. Lots of sting rays all year round, wrasse, damsal fish, octopus, trumpet fish and many, many more. Between January and April is angel shark season when the water is the coldest. We have a famous dive where we feed the rays.
There are 2 wrecks, El Condesito at 17 metres and Cita Del mar at 39 - 55 metres.
The majority of dive sites are located in the south of Tenerife, so flying to the south airport (Reina Sofia) is the best option. The north airport is approximately 1 hour away (Los Rodeos).
Most airlines have a link direct to Tenerife, however for the Americas, Asia and Australia the link is normally via Madrid in mainland Spain.

Tenerife is a fantastic holiday destination for all the family with plenty for the kids, Loro Park which is a large zoo and aquarium, white sand beaches with lots of other water sports. Tenerife is an active volcano, but it has not erupted for more than 100 years, it is the highest point in all of Spain at 3750 metres and well worth a day trip. There are many walks and many golf courses.

Local currency is euro's.
There are many excellent restaurants so if you get a chance only book your accommodation bed and breakfast or go self catering.
