Usually a current running across the reef but not normally that strong. Top of reef is at 15m and depending on the current, determines your route. Lots of overhangs on top of the reef to search around for spiny starfish, red sea stars, featherstars and morays. Purple flabellinas (Aeolids) also. If you are lucky then loggerhead turtles and common stingrays. Lots of damselfish and rainbow wrasse around. Edges of the reef have dusky and goldblotch groupers and a recent red sea immigrant, the blue-spotted cornetfish. The piece of wreck here comes from the Sakarya, dragged by an anchor. On the western side is an old anchor.
