My wife & I dove here the last week of December 1999 & it was the most amazing dive site we have ever been to! It is a 50 minute boat ride of the coast of Saba. At the time there were 5 resorts & we stayed at Borneo Divers as it was the only one which had shore dives which were unbelievable. The gear room is 10 feet from the shore and another 10 feet into the water you are over a 2000 foot wall. Vis was 80 to 150 with water temp at 80 to 82. The aquatic life was awesome: turtles everywhere, white tip shark, leopard shark, hammerhead, barracuda by the thousands, schools of huge bumphead parrot fish, lion fish, crocidle fish, nudibranchs, varieties of anemone fish, just more variety & numbers of fish than we have ever seen before. Soft & hard coral which was just beautiful.

The resort was rustic, ask for a room with AC which is a great thing to have. Food & service was very good & friendly. This site is for divers only as there is nothing else on the island. A 5 star dive trip as the dives were totally free of supervision. Traveling half way around the world is rough (we are in Maryland, USA) however Sipadan Island is a most for serious divers.
