Ponta Do Ouro is a typical tropical destination. Beaches fringed with palm trees, powder white beach sand.It offers a variety of dives sites from Openwater to Advanced. A must- see is Doodles which is teeming with the widest variety of fish life, including rays, lion fish, game fish as well as eels and octopus which are in abundance. Pinnacles is situated offshore and offers awesome displays of schooling gamefish as well as hammerhead and bull sharks. Tiger sharks are often seen. Pinnacles is best dived in the summer season Nov - Feb.
Accommodation is rustic and comfortable with various options available. The sites in Ponta do Ouro can also be dived from Ponta Malongane (the next bay) and vice versa. It is approx 60km from the Elephant Reserve. 4x4 trails are available. There are approx 35 dives sites in total in the 20km surrounding Ponta do Ouro/Malongane. Whales also make this part of their migratory route from Sept.
