Cook Island.....where do I start!!
The small island has at least 3 different ecosystems and a good variation of bottom terrain to suit all interests and levels of experience.
An ideal place to complete most of the PADI speciality courses.
The range of small reef dwelling fish to large Pelagics is amazing.
On my last dive there, we encountered a 4 meter Tiger Shark, we took a few pics and it left us with a rather bored look on its face.
I have been diving around the world for years and have never see more aggressive Damsel fish, each one protecting its little garden, prepared to take you on.
The best thing is the short boat ride from the Tweed Bar, around 10 min and you are in the water.

Be aware, conditions change rapidly in the area, visibility, turbidity, current and temperature.
Make sure you carry a Safety Sausage or a signaling device and dive within your limits.
