If you are after clear water diving, with plenty of fish such as Grouper, Barracuda, Amberjecks, Mullet, Tuna, etc etc coupled with beautiful cup corals, red and yellow sea fans, and all those litle things like Nudibranchs, this spot may be what you are after. For those into caves and grottos, the coastline is filled with ones to explore.
You can go diving in the Marine Reserve from your base in Sorrento, a popular sea side resort town within reach of popular attractions like Capri, Pompei (The Roman City uncovered after being buried by volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvio, Europe's only mainland active Vulcano) The shopping.... (Watch your missus with the credit card!!!!!) and many beautiful attractions along the nearby Amalfi Coast.
You can fly to Naples the nearest airport using discount airlines and busses are available from the airport to Sorrento direct.
August is really busy and the best diving is from April to December with September and October being the best as the water is warmest and fewer crowds at the other attractions. Winter weather can be unpredicactable but the diving rewarding for those keen.
Come for a week or two, their is loads for the family to do and plenty of things for the divers to see.
Better than you expected is what we hear all the time.
Try for yourself.
