Cathedral Cave is the most popular dive site in south east Tasmania. A fully guided tour of this cave system is a must for all qualified divers. The maximum depth is 21 metres.

Cathedral Cave is a maze of caverns, passageways and narrow swimthroughs. The entrances of the system have walls that are adorned with jewel anenomes, yellow zoanthids, sponges , asidians, bryzoans and other species that are often only found in deeper water.

Visibility is often 30 to 40 metres in the winter months and ideal for photography. This dive featured in National Geographic magazine and in the TV series 'DIVE TASMANIA'.
