Warm and sunny people on a small, warm and sunny island! Spectacular scenery, above and below water.

Magnificent ruins all round the island, and in Perissa itself, a host of small restaurants serving excellent Greek food!

The northern end of the village, below the headland (which is itself the site of an ancient civilisation) tends to be very lively, but further along the long black volcanic sand beach you will find other quieter tebernas and bars.

Comparatively cheap for a Greek island, the accomodation varies from simple 'studios' in small establishments to larger, plusher 4 star hotels.

Lots of small dive sites, most reasonably shallow (<18 metres), that are usually accessed by a RIB out of Vlichada (on the south eastern corner of the island), and range around the southern end of Santorini, and round in to the 'caldera' (the ancient flooded volcano that gives Santorini its spectacular scenery.
