What a fantastic place to dive. Visited Jibacoa in August 2003 and stopped at what was then the Super Club Breezes resort. Dive sites are many and varied. The Trenches site are channels of coral formations with both reef and palegic fish. The Triangle and White Rock are another good 2 dive sites. Visability in August is easily 30 mtrs. The hotel is approx 1 hour transfer from Varadero. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I found the Cuban land crabs amusing as they only come out to play at night. There are plenty of other things to do for non divers such as trips to Havana, treks into the hills, Jeep safaris etc or just chillin by the pool with a cold one. Tempreture wise in August it is hot but the hotels are usually only half full as this is the low season. But again a great place to visit.
