Salt Cay is the most remote and furthest Southern island in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Due to it's location, there are not as many divers as in the larger islands therefore, the reefs and walls are still very pritine, teaming with schools of fish. The walls are some of the most spectacular walls in the World and have been rated in the top 10 walls dives in the world by Rodales readers.
You will see turtles, sharks, eels, lots of small shrip, garden eels, jaw fish and Matnas in the summetime.
There are only 101 residents on this island and some of the most friendly people around. You feel like you 'own' a little piece of the island for the time you are there.
In the Winter magnificient Humpback whales come to Salt Cay on their migration path to the Silver Banks. This is one of the last places in the world you can actually swim with these ecreatures.
Us Air, American, Air canada and delta all fly into Providenciales. Form there it is a short island hop 25 min ride to Salt Cay.
Salt Cay is a fantastic place for all levels of divers. There are rarely any currents and the visibilty is 80 ft year round.
Due to it's location the dive package with Salt Cay Divers includes trip to their 18th century British war ship, trips to Grand Turk and weather permitting trips to South Cacios.
The island is referred to as the island time forgot, but still has all the ammenities and comforts of life.
