At 26*18’00” North and 34*51’50” East, Big Brother and Little Brother Islands sit out in the blue of the red sea, only being reachable via boat. Big Brother hosts nothing more than a lighthouse and the living quarters for the staff that man it. Little Brother no more that a kilometre east, fly’s the Egyptian flag along with various piles of rocks. The Brother Islands are a Mecca for divers, proving steep drop off walls of multi coloured hard and soft corrals, two wrecks and the possibility the sight of Oceanic’s and Thresher Sharks. The wrecks of the Numidia and the Aida II both slop into the deep on Big Brother’s reef.

But take heed the Bothers are not for the faint hearted as the ocean currents that are favoured by the sharks can be furious and turbulent at times.
