Puerto Del Carmen has something for all the family, divers and non-divers. It has a more tradtional old town, with some typical tapas bars and resturants. On the strip in the new part of town, this has many bars, resturants and disco bars open until very late! During the first two weeks of August there is a fair siutated in the old harbour with a spectacular firework display on the last night. Fireworks are also a big attraction on New Years Eve, these are ignited on the beach in the new town and the display is very special indeed. However, they are not set off at midnight - this is the time to celebrate in the bars - they are actually let off at 2am. !! Puerto Del Carmen is an all year round resort.
