December 2005 Fantastic for families to snorkel from the safe sandy beach. absolutely loads of fish to see, at times I couldn't see my camera to take pictures, too many fish in the way!

July 2004 The coral around KK suffered from serious blast fishing during the 70's so you will find yourself swimming through a lot of barren patches of sea bed. The visibility isn't great either thanks to the muck coming out of the city. A great place to learn though and the guys at 'Beach Bums' are fantastic.

July 2005 Good basic diving in a less well known part of Sabah. It is possible to dift 80% of the way round little Sapi Island, then complete the circuit with little effort.

May 2005 Kota Kinabalu's diving location, the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, offers safe, easy but thoroughly enjoyable and interesting diving for novices and nitrogen junkies alike. If you're not accustomed to reef diving and you want to make the best out of a trip to Sipadan, have a few dives around KK so that you won't soil your wetsuit so much every time you see one of Sipadan's legendary turtles!
