February 2008 nice diving but not worth the trip to go there specially for diving. We had rented a sailboat for the vacation and did some diving while there.

August 2005 I highly recommend diving in the BVI. Sail Caribbean Divers took me to a variety of dive sites, showing me wrecks, beautiful coral gardens, canyons and caves. They were THE most professional facility I have every dived with, looking after my every need. I highly recommend them and the diving.

Wreck Dives:

Here are the wreck dives we know of for British Virgin Islands.

RMS Rhone
Ranked as OK by independant reviews Ranked as OK by independant reviews
One of the most popular and highly rated shipwrecks in all the Caribbean. This wreck, situated on the lee side of Salt Island, is daily visited by local dive boats, daysail boats and charter yachts. Spread out over a couple of acres, the Rhone can be enjoyed by scores of snorkellers and scuba divers all at the same time. The Royal Mail Steam Packet Ship Rhone, a 310-foot long iron-hulled steam-sailer, was built in Southampton, England in 1865 and was sunk by a hurricane a mere two years later on October 29th, 1867. Constructed at the height of the Industrial Revolution, the Rhone was of a hybrid technology powered by both sail and one of the earliest steam driven propellers. In the almost 130 years it has been underwater, the Rhone has been transformed by the sea and is now as much a natural reef as it is a wreck.

Accidental sinking: 29-Oct-1867 Wreck penetration not possible Technical or decompression diving. More info...
Diver reviews for RMS Rhone:
Was a bit disappointed after reading all the upbeat stories on the net. Visibilty was'ok, but the state of the wreck was hardly as printine as described. Still quite enjoyable though...
