Great diving. Two days worth of diving after the hurricane Ileana brushed the cape. It blurred things up a bit. However, the diving was still fantastic. So much life. Every dive was filled with something new.

You can dive three minutes from shore at Pelican Rock. Land's End is only five minutes. Saw a grey whale just before we got in at Land's End. Also there, saw sea lions, octopus, pufferfish. White tip reef sharks were at Pelican Rock.

The diving in Cabo was fair with cool 70 degree temps and 30 foot viz in March. Goliath groupers, seahorses, typical reef fish, starfish and nudibranchs were prevalent. Sea lions near the tip of Cabo are also an attraction. The town of Cabo is very touristy with lots of spring-break type bars and a roudy beach atmosphere. Just outside of town in the corridor or on the Pacific side is much more tranquil and has some great hotels. Plenty to do outside of diving from horseback riding, ATV tours, whale-watching excursions, golfing and fishing - not to mention pretty good restaurants. A great vacation destination, albeit perhaps not the best dive vacation.

Lots of Mantas. Would suggest stay in San Jose del Cabo if looking to hang out with the locals. Cabo San Lucas very touristy town.

Easy 5 minute boat ride from the dock, gentle recreational dive sites, 2 tank dive in the same general area.
Nothing too exciting but beats sitting on the beach.

The Socorro Islands are a fantastic dive destination. It is NOT for novice divers. There are sharks on every dive. It is not unusual to see 5 different species of shark on one dive. At some locations, the sharks number in the hundreds; Hammerheads, Silkys, Galapagos, Whitetip, Tigers, ... You will always get a chance to see the Mantas. Some of the largest in the world are resident here and they don't mind interacting with divers. Some even seem to seek out the divers.
During February and March, the humpback whales share the area and can be heard on every dive. If you are lucky, you can snorkel with them. You can always witch them breaching and fin slapping from your live aboard.
This place has a lot of current, surge, and choppy water. Visibility can range from 25 feet to 200 feet. Don't try it if you don't have 50 dives or more.
