September 2012 The Medes Islands marine reserve has more than a dozen wonderful dive sites. The area has been protected for 20 years. The Montgri coast up to LŽEscala received protection in 2010 and has many great sites with beautiful walls and caves.

July 2012 Very nice diving spots. Lots of shore dive locations. Abundant reef life (especially squid, octo's and lots of different nudibranches).

September 2010 A good diving region for being not too crowded (I detest diving at scuba city central), quality boats as well as shore dive sites. Kenna Eco Diving gave us the chance to have good accommodation at most reasonable prices.

June 2010 Joining the volunteer program was fun and a great way to get hands on marine conservation experience (subsidized too!). I extended my bottom time, improved my buoyancy and had the chance to take loads of photos as well as collecting species data. Full training is given to take an active role in the research. Highly recommended! And while you're there, diving the Medes Islands is a must do.

July 2008 Great diving conditions for both experienced/technical divers and not so experienced/shallow water divers

September 2006 A fab dive holiday with top accommodation in a lovely seaside town (L'Escala). It was great to meet eco-minded divers and friendly Divemasters. I enjoyed learning to identify local fish and helping with fish surveys. The photo-opportunities were brilliant, and I loved the Medes groupers.

May 2006 In the early summer there are not so many divers. the see can be a little rough. Take a lamp with you. Internet: www.cll-watersports.com

July 2005 This wreck lies upright and intact at 37-42 metres about a mile off the coast. It sank in 1971 with a cargo of marble slabs that can still be seen in the holds, hence its popular name - the Marmoler. It is 47 metres long and over 8 metres wide and supports lobsters, conger eels, bream, and shoals of swallowtail sea perch.

April 2006 Great diving in the Medes Islands marine park and along the coast. Awesome caves and really friendly huge groupers. Enjoyed helping out with with the monitoring of Posidonia oceanica carried out by Kennaecodiving.
