February 2008 Nice diving, but it doesn´t beat Bonaire

November 2006 Found the golden rock dive centre very relaxed and friendly which made for some really great diving experiences. Not much to do on Statia generally although there is a little hiking on the Quill. Only downside is the view is rather spolied by the oiltankers! - there is a very large oil storage depot on the island and on the side where most of the diving and hotels are.

June 2004 I have been diving all over the Caribbean and there is nothing like this place anywhere. I was completely surprised that a place you hear so little about could have so much to offer. The Old Gin was very nice place to stay and Golden Rock Divers outstanding! I would recommend it highly, and I have a group going back in June 05.
