I found Walkers to be a very unique dive destination. Just a quick hop from South Florida, and its like being in a different world. The island is very small, I walked around the perimeter in 20 minutes. I found the staff to be very friendly and easy going, they were always helpful, but never pesky. I thought the food was way above par, from the burgers between dives to the evening dinners. The rooms weren't elegant, but they served their purpose.

The week I stayed at Walkers, the vis was lower than normal, about 20 feet, but the dives were still outstanding. Shark encounters were frequent, even when not doing a 'Shark Dive'. The underwater terrain was great, with a lot of swim-throughs and shallow caverns/caves. I also found the boats and crews to be exceptional.
