Dived north Tioman (Salang), some good reefs. Coral best that I have seen (variety, colour and extent), but sadly mostly fished out. Those that are there are small and few and far between. Nothing big at all. Despite the 'marine reserve' status, fishermen actually operate out of the resorts, and all resorts serve a wide variety of fish in the restaurants. Malaysia - clueless. Only Cyprus has fewer fish! Go if you like coral, but if you want to see live fish, almost anywhere is better.

Tioman is a great Dive destination if you live in Malaysia or Singapore - so easy to reach! The best dive sites are on the outer islands - about a 25 minute boat ride from the main island - brilliant relaxing dives. Tioman Dive Centre -located on Tekek Beach is a very professional yet fun Set- up. I've dived with them many times and will keep on going back for more!

The Island is great. Jungle interior with interesting moderate hike from one side to the other, easliy done in a day. ABC (the village) is quiet, relaxed, and friendly. Hawksbills swimming about a few meters out from the beach. Five foot iguanas walking about on the beach. B&J dive centre was very good. Better visibillity would have made diving very good; go at the right time of year.

The diving is great and the island is idyllic. One of the most memorable weeks of my life.

Great place for a quick weekend dive trip if you happen to be in the Singapore/Malaysia area. Besides diving, there are villages around the island to explore.

Diving was great, never seen so healthy soft corals, hard corals and sea fans. Lots of fish life, many turtles but especially outstanding were for me the many different nudibranchs our guide found.
B&J was a great dive centre. Equipment was good, dive boats great, food on board delicious and the guides made my stay a memorable one. Hopefully I can soon go back!
