St. Lucia is one of the Windward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. It is an island for lovers ! It is quiet, serene and just plain beautiful. Its Pitons are world famous.
This island was made for Macro Photography enthusiasts. The dive sites range in depth from 20 to 140 ft. The water is calm and clear. Around mid- August each year coral spawning takes place. It is a magical sight.
There are a lot of bike trails and hiking for the young at heart. However the roads on the island are steep and narrow so leave the drivers license at home. Many taxis are available but water taxi is the better choice. The island is home to an active volcano ! Which you can also go see while enjoying 'the fountain of youth' , a mineral bath that the natives swear by.

Anse Cochon:

Anse Cochon is an area which has Wall, Drift, trench like reef, Wrecks, along with open reefs which make it easy to do shore diving. All these sites have a diffrent composition hence making them worth diving. The beach is a black sand beach (volcanic sand).

Only 25 to 30mins ride from the city by boat.

There is also a resort called Ti Kaye Village located of a cliff over looking the bay. The foilage is great and it is a beach that is for all ages young & old.

This is where all the party, cruise and day charter boat stop off at times.
Lots of fish. Having a fish ID book is a good idea.

Don't miss this bay. Lots to see .
