The main diving in Trefor Bay is around the, now derelict, pier. The shore diving rarely gets below 4m, even at high tide, but you can easily spend an hour here. There is an abundance of life under and around the pier including pipefish, lobsters, prawns, dogfish, blennies, flatfish and a variety of crabs. There is also a small reef a short distance north east off the end of the pier, which offers a slightly different habitat to search around. There is little else to do at Trefor apart from walking. There are public toilets on site but they generally close at about 5pm. The parking is currently free. There are no dive shops locally. If diving is washed out then the fresh water quarry, Vivian, is a short drive away.
