October 2005 Very good place to go. The dive can be difficult some time because of the currents. A lot of good marine life. The visibilaty is not very good.

July 2007 The sea was very rough at this time of year and vis was 8 m max. The best tie to go is dec - mar.

August 1996 Very low Vis at this time of year, but plenty of surge and lion fish

November 2005 Dived with two different dive centres on 4 seperate reef systems.Boat organisation not good but passable.Reefs teemed with life and even managed a photo of a reatively rare to the area sea cucumber bright blue and yellow. Easy diving temp 25deg. Take care which centre you dive with it is not 'cheap' diving.Take your own kit!

February 2004 First spot of a leaf fish. Plenty to see on every dive - copper fish, jacks, morays, guitar fish, lionfish, turtles, parrot fish, clown fish, groupers, lobsters, stingrays, pipefish, octopus - list was endless. Very warm in water - about 27 degrees still at 20 metres! The divesites we visited didn't have any currents to speak of. A must to combine with a land safari (whether in Kenya or Tanzania).

MFV Alpha Funguo
Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews Ranked as Awesome by independant reviews
MFV Alpha Funguo was sunk adjacent to a small isolated reef only 50 meters from the main barrier reef. This is an exciting dive with great photography opportunities. Nitrox recommended

30m / 98ft
Deliberately sunk: 21-Feb-2001 Wreck penetration not possible Technical or decompression diving. More info...

A lot of different fishes. It's worth doing a dive.

There can be a strong current depending when you dive but its well worth the strugle to get on the wreck. my best dive on it was a night dive, so much more to see .Would advise any one to go on a liveaboard as you (most times) get at least one dive without other boats around

Waa Wreck - The H.M.S. Hildasay
HMS Hildasay lies in the sand at 22m hull up, which means the wreck itself is not wildly interesting. However, there are always interesting and rare fish on and around the wreck so it is a dive that is well worth doing.
15m / 49ft
22m / 72ft
Accidental sinking: 21-Jun-1945 Wreck penetration not possible Technical or decompression diving. More info...
