It was my first dive ever and they took us to a place where every resort takes it's divers and most of the coral was dead and there wasn't much life but I still fell in love with diving there and would go back to a different location!

The vizibility on the dives close to shore can be poor in the rainy months due to the rivers which flow into he sea.
Corbetena is a dive for the experienced diver as it is an island opproximately 35 miles out with a solar powered light house on it and is open to the strong currents. The day that I dived it the current was nearly as strong at 20 mtres as it was at the surface which made finning hard work.
There is supposedly a good chance of seeing sharks here but on the two dives that I did we didn't see any.

Great place to dive. Las Caletas has lots for non divers to do while you are diving. Well worth the trek!

El Moro rock is worth the extra 20 min. boat ride. Strong currents and seaonal plankton bloom in early spring.

No wet suit needed in August.
Highly recommend Ocean Quest as they do not run cattle boats and you get personal service including video of your dive for a small extra fee.
