August 2016 Diving was fun - all dive shops are government run and equipment is in need if repair. Not sure which dive centre the photos are showing but it is not the one at Tryp Cayo Coco

October 2009 Dived with Blue Diving at the Melia Cayo Coco. The staff were great. We have our own gear, but the school gear looked very good. The diving is good but not as spectacular as the Southern Red Sea. There are a couple of small wrecks and some huge Grouper around these wrecks

November 2002 Cuba Scuba very helpful at Hotel Tryp

November 2002 Good hotel, good food. I was concerned that it was such a large hotel but it is very spread out in beatiful gardens with no high rise buildings - more like a village than a hotel. Very helpful dive staff. Mainly shallow dives. Lots to do when not diving. It was rather windy at the start of our stay and the dive boats couldn't get over the inner reef so we took a few trips from the hotel. Especially enjoyed snorkeling in the mangroves and the Moron trip. Trinidad was a very long trip and I wouldn't recommend it. Best of all was the mainland bird watching trip with Paulino.

March 2005 We dived with Blue diving , who picked us up, they did 2 dives in the morning - equiptment was old but in reasonable nick, staff were excellent and coral brilliant

December 2003 We went to the Sol hotel and dived with Blue Diving. The dive staff were excellent, very helpful. Buy there was always an onshore wind and big waves. The sandy bottom was stirred up and vis was poor. Would not recommend for winter diving.
