Pulau Redang is a small island in the South China Sea of the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia.

Getting to the island involves taking a Flight from Kualar Lumpa to Terengganu Airport with Malaysian Airlines or Air Asia, this takes around 1 hour (there is also the possibility to fly from Kuala Lumpa direct to Redang with Berjaya Air) then you will have to take a bus/taxi from Terengganu airport to Terengganu jetty and from here the boat takes around 1 hour.

On the island you have a choice of around 5 hotels on the east coast, all sharing the one beach, at the north end you can stay at Berjaya Redang Beach Resort with it's own private beach at Teluk dalam.

The hotel facilities on the island are of an average- good standard (allthough not 5*) with Berjaya being the most expensive, but also the best.

Diving round the island is very good for all levels and well priced.

Finally I would say that if you want to relax and do some diving, then this is the place for you, but there is very little else to do, not an ideal destination for families unless you all dive.

I will be returning in July 2006, I enjoyed it that much!
