We stayed at the Movenpick resort hotel and dived El Quadim Bay. The dive set up is very good and very professional with an excellent dive shop, kit rooms and dunk tanks. We dived there in December 2004 and found the weather could be a little chilly if it was windy.

The diving is typical Red Sea house reef. With the usual high quality of coral and fish life from Big Moray's, Anemone fish, very curious squid to Napoleons etc. Subex run a strict system of only allowing twenty divers in the water at any one time but we found that we generally had the reef to ourselves. There are a number of dive options, it is possible to dive left or right from a purpose built jetty or use the dive schools RIB to take you out along the reef an drop you in. There is also an excellent sloping sandy bottom to allow divers to practise their skills. Navigation is probably the simplest we have ever experienced. There is a lot of variety in the types of diving, for example easy drifting, quite deep or very shallow.
We flew into and out of Hurghada and were mini bussed to the resort. We will return there one day as the resort provided a relaxing holiday with good quality diving.
