July 2003 I completed my advanced certificate and really enjoyed the experience although I was dissapointed with the state of a lot of the coral .There is a large amount of reef fish to see and the Katrina Wreck was fantastic but be warned this is my first and only wreck dive so far so I have nothing to compare it with

Wreck Dives:

Here are the wreck dives we know of for Ocho Rios.

The Catherine
Ranked as OK by independant reviews Ranked as OK by independant reviews
The 140 ft. steel hulled ex-minesweeper was deliberately sunk by an Ocho Rios dive operator in 1991. It sits upright, with a slight list to starboard, in the middle of a large sandy area, which is covered by manatee grass and other algae at a depth of 50 ft (15m). The superstructure is completely intact and allows entry to its interior, which is spacious enough to move around.
12m / 39ft
15m / 49ft
Deliberately sunk: 01-Apr-1991 Wreck penetration is possible. Technical or decompression diving.

Dived it twice in december 2007 once during the day once at night, Ideal first wreck dive or for more advanced divers a nice relaxing dive with easy swim throughs and good vis. As it's shallow you usually have plenty of air left after exploring the wreck and we were taken through some good coral canyons looking for Moray's Etc. Dived from Sandals Dunns River which has a really good dive staff.
