June 2007 Diving the English Channel is not for the faint hearted or inexperienced diver. Currents can be very strong so be careful to pick slack. A nice sedate dive is, however, the light tower. Bottoming out at around 14 metres there is plenty of life to see and it makes a cracking second dive.

March 2007 The weather was fabulous and the sea was dead calm the days preceding were also good, but unfortunately the viz was still no further than a few meters at best. The Alaunia is the largest know wreck in Sussex at around 13,500 tons, this was my first dive on she and even with limited viz her size is breathtaking. I have to come back and diver her again in better viz.

April 2006 April can be really cold in Eastbourne! When we dived, vis was about 1-2m, and very dark! However, there was lots of life about with Dogfish, Common Smooth Hound, and Conger eels being seen as the bigger fish, and Tompot Blennies, Mackerel, Gobies, and the odd Wolffish also seen free swimming. Bottom life were the usual supects of Starfish, Whelks, Mussels, etc. As it warms up, Seahorese have been seen off Eastbourne, and also Dolphins and Basking Sharks.
