Dived on MV Monsoon on an itinery of Northern Atolls. The Boat, dive guides, food etc were all of a fantastic standard. Not the best time of year for visibilty but we still hadf some fantastic diving.

A great relaxing holiday. Loads of manta rays (especially at Manta Point) Usually dive sites are empty but there will be one or two (such as Manta Point) that are 'tourist spots' and will be busy

Coral was very poor in comparison with the southern Red Sea, nature has impacted this most significantly rather than building or diving activity. Lots of fish life and sharks on almost every dive. Currents were variable and could be challenging.

We stayed for a week on the Atoll Explorer too and this meant we got to dive lots of different sites in different Atolls during our stay. There was quite a bit of plankton in the water on some of the dives. Weather wasnt too bad either, but we did have some strong currents on nearly all the dives.

Stunning, Breathtaking, Beautiful, Amazing, Unbelievable, Incredible and Fantastic anything I have missed???
Honestly some of the best diving I have ever done, diving with so many Manta Rays that I had to fight them to get to the surface, in the deep blue watching a hammer swim towards you. Spending an hour swing along the sides of Whale Sharks (until now I believed to be a figment of everyone’s imagination). Only listing one dive site is a tragedy as apart from those close around Male airport itself they are all great.
The water temp was around 30 degrees C that was in Oct and when it rains it Rains, at one point the rain was so strong that the boat had to stop as we could no longer see in front of us. The currents can be very strong, so be careful and always dive with a torch and SMB, as one guy was swept away while I was out there.

Dove the Manthiri for the third time in 18 months. It's a great operation! Saw whalesharks, schools of eagle rays, swordfish, countless sharks, dove with giant mantas often, 1000's of fish on every dive, great macro life; incredible soft and hard corals. Manthiri staff is the greatest. Beautiful country.
