In the Atlantic Ocean, one of the Canary Islands (volcanic). Excellent diving from shore and boat. More than 500 different kinds of fish and other marine life. Diving throughout the whole year. Average visibility of 20 meters. Water temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Many rays (eagle and stingrays), angel sharks, damsel fish, trompetfish, parrot fish, scorpion fish, seahorses, lizard fish, breams, barracudas, morays, red starfish, spider crabs, sea-urchin, groupers etc. etc. Huge reefs, rocks, volcanic flows, caves, many wrecks etc.

Land temperatures between 18 and 35 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Beaches all around the island, other watersports possible, wine areas, volcanic park (national Biosphera), lava caves, water caves, golf course etc. Architect Cesar Manrique has given the island a special character. Once a year in February Carnaval and throughout the whole summer fiestas in all villages. In May the Ironman takes place, a triathlon including 4.2K swim, 180K bike, 42K run.

Flights from all European countries available couple of times a week and from Madrid daily. Depending on the European country flights last between 2,5 and 4,5 hours.

Puerto Del Carmen has something for all the family, divers and non-divers. It has a more tradtional old town, with some typical tapas bars and resturants. On the strip in the new part of town, this has many bars, resturants and disco bars open until very late! During the first two weeks of August there is a fair siutated in the old harbour with a spectacular firework display on the last night. Fireworks are also a big attraction on New Years Eve, these are ignited on the beach in the new town and the display is very special indeed. However, they are not set off at midnight - this is the time to celebrate in the bars - they are actually let off at 2am. !! Puerto Del Carmen is an all year round resort.
