During February
Leatherback and Loggerhead Turtles come ashore to lay eggs on the beaches of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.
During June
The annual sardine run is an amazing natural spectacle and one not to be missed! Each year around June, huge schools of sardines migrate through the waters of the Indian Ocean near KwaZulu Natal, attracting large numbers of marine predators and sea birds.
From July to October
Southern Right Whales arrive into the bays of both South Africa's coast and Australia's south coast to calve, where they stay until October.
From November to June
From November to June there is a good chance of seeing Hammerhead, Zambezi, Bull and Tiger Sharks at Protea Banks, South Africa.

September 2007 Dropped to 40 meters and surrounded by approx. 20 raggies. Strong current, for experienced only. Did also baited dive in open ocean. Thatīs lot easier. Just hang around 15m and watch the Sharks !

March 2006 lots of zambezi sharks and hammerhead in distance.

April 2006 Dived with African Oddysea - superb. Tiger, scalloped hammerhead, dusky, bull, and blacktip sharks, plus giant guitar fish all in one day. 3 manta rays in the week, with many ribbontail rays.

April 2005 We went tiger shark diving - saw tigers upto 8 at a time + upto 20 blacktips every dive. Visibility v. variable. Currents can be strong 3-5 knots
