October 2007 I went diving with Enomis Divers and took 6 dive trips to El Farallon and Los Frailes Islands. Enomis Divers were fantastic, they had a very nice and modern American made custom dive boat (the only one on Margarita Island) and Lee, their Divemaster, really knew his stuff and had all the divesites down pat. Lee was very safety conscious, and made us all feel very safe even on some low visibility dives as he must have had an underwater GPS as he always found the boat's anchor line spot on! We we were very comfortable and spoiled with the Enomis style of 'valet diving.' Lee also had a special way of making the Flying Gunnards spread their 'wings,' which was a beautiful sight to see! My wife and I had an outstanding vacation on Margarita Island and will come back soon to dive with Enomis Divers again!

September 2007 Did four days diving with Enomis Divers they were ok, Eugene was the best person to take you diving but unfortunately he was leaving the dive Centre to go to pastures new. There are some good drift dives out at Los Frailes Islands with an abundance of puffer and scorpion fish, visibility was always good and the water temperature was 28 to 29 there was a few cold spots but you could see when you were passing into them by the shimmering wall in front of you (like stepping through the gate if you're a sci-fi fan) local currency is Bolivare but take US dollars there are two exchange rates the official and the unofficial never change or money at the hotel ask at a shop they will tell you where to exchanges locally' don't worry it's legal' and you get twice as much as the official rate. Recommended trips when you're not diving: CANAIMA either the one-day or two-day trip. and the LAND CRUISER ADVENTURE. Temperature on the island is hot and very humid, most hotels are all-inclusive but eating out is very reasonable and there are some good bargains to have when shopping especially if you've followed my advice on exchanging your money.

March 2003 had a good time with only 4 of us diving the whole day - they picked us up , laid on lunch and returned us at the end of the day

June 2005 On most dives saw Puffer fish+Scorpion fish+starfish+Sea Urchins+Moray Eels+Angel fish+Sea caterpillers. Every dive was a drift dive at this time of year! Need to go to Isla Cubagua for wreck diving. Dived with Scuba Pelicano who were excellant.

June 2005 I was first certified (Open Water) in Margarita 6 years ago. There is always a bit of current at soome points in Los Frailes, but it's a very good dive. There are lots of other sites around the island to choose from as well. I was pleased with Aquanauts, the operator we used this time. The island in general is beautiful, economical in comparison to the rest of the Caribbean, and has lots else to do.
