This site contains two types of content.
The first type of content is provided by Dive-Logs Ltd and includes
things such as design, photographs, illustrations, images, text, and
software. Dive-Logs Ltd or our content providers own it. This
content is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
The second type of content is provided by the multitude of people
who leave reviews or register dive centres etc. This includes specific
personal comments people may leave for the help of other divers. This
content is in the public domain. However, any graphs, charts or other
analysis, derived from the information left in reviews is provided
by Dive-Logs Ltd and is protected by UK and international copyright
laws.
Use of the Site
You may use this site for maintaining, viewing, browsing through,
searching and printing all and any information about the dive locations
on our planet.
You may not use the site to publish information that is illegal, obscene,
threatening, abusive, profane, defamatory, or that infringes upon

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Dive-Logs Ltd and its
affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless against

content of any information that you publish using bigblueplanet.com.

Privacy and Data Protection:
Dive-Logs Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations 2018). We collect information about you to provide you with the best service possible.
Dive-Logs Ltd will be what?s known as the ?Controller? of the personal data you provide to Big Blue Planet. If you the big blue planet website for browsing information about dive sites we only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include your IP address.
If you have registered as a my blue planet user then you may also supply location based information about your past or future dive holidays, and your name and email name. You may also upload personal photos that you can share with other users of Big Blue Planet.
Your Consent
By submitting information to Big Blue Planet and browsing the site you consent to the collection and use of this information by Dive-Logs Ltd.
Why we need your data
We use the basic personal data you provide to help us improve the way Big Blue Planet works and to provide your features as a My Blue Planet user.
What we do with your data
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK and for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is only located on servers within the UK. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.
Improving Our Service
Dive-Logs Ltd does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. To better tailor our services to our customers' needs, we use non-identifying and aggregate information to help us make decisions on how to improve Big Blue Planet.
Cookies
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to your computer's (or alternative web browsing device?s) hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser and to provide rich visit features such as auto sign on as a my blue planet user. Analytic Tools
Google Analytics is a system used by many websites to record information about visits to their website. Google set six different cookies with expiry dates ranging from 30 minutes to 2 years. These cookies are used mainly to differentiate between first time visitors to a website and repeat visitors. They also allow us to ensure our website performs as well as possible for our users.
