What's the diving like in Panama (west)
[edit]
i can help here. I have a dive opperation in the Chirqui province of Panama and just getting started. As my exdperience of the region increases so does the diving oppertunities here. There is more fish life than anywhere else i have seen in the world....no joke....and very good oppertunities for large marine life encounters. we have humback whales, and giant mantas. The humpbacks are obviously tricky to get close to in the water but frequently seen from the dive boat and the giant mantas are happy to dive right beside you. Of course there is a season for these guys. Sharks are frequent and there are some big boys out there too. From December to May the visbility is at itīs best 70-100ft, May onwards is the rainy season but some big life comes cruising through. The vis is tempremental May to November but with some great windows of clarity and when mixed with the big stuff produces some excellent dives. It is wild out here and so is the marine life.
Is the above OK? Why not edit it if you can do better!
