What's the diving like in Maltese Islands
I did not dive Gozo which is meant ot be better but the diving aroudn Malta was disappointing. The Med in general is not my preferred destination, but Malta was particularly disappointing, with little marine life of note. Some nice rock formations and swim throughs, but all in all, would not recommend this destination used to more tropical waters teeming with fish life

Were did you dive on Malta? I agree that in tersm of marine life there are better places but there is somenice diving around the islands. There are benefits here to good temp all year round, great viz, always somethign available due to size of island, virtually no currents and lots of options for wrecks from WW2 wrecks in 8 to 14 meters or for the techies wrecks up to 120 meters and betond

HMS MORI in Valletta harbour is a great start to wreak diving, safe, rusty, and a real war time ship with an amazing story. She was involved in the hunt for the super dreadnought Bismark! and resighted her after she had given the larger Royal Navy ships the slip.

The Diving here is easy...unless the wind blows which being Malta it often does. The Viz I have found varies but I would never class it as ever being bad. Quite a few dives around the Cirkewwa area, the most famous being the tug boat Rozi which sit...

Comino is one of the best best dive locations in the Mediterranean. The cave systems are fanstastic, like Santa Maria caves and Alex's cave. There are also some great wall dive's like anchor reef and the famous lantern point. In all there are 14 ...

Gozo is easy enough to get to, flight to Malta, a short taxi or bus ride to the ferry port and then a ferry to Gozo. It's a small island and I'd recommend hiring a car whilst you are there. We stayed in a hotel on a B&B basis, but when we go again (w...

Zurrieg lies on the southern coast of Malta, it is a very quiet fishing village though often visited by tourist buses. The diving in this area is for the more experienced diver, the main attraction being the wreck of the Um El Faroud. The Um El Farou...
