What's the diving like in Grenada
My husband and I did about 30 dives between us over a 3 week period on Grenada, and found it to be the best diving we have done in the Carribean so far. For beginners, the reefs are OK - very much like other areas we have dived in the Carribean (Dom Rep and Mexico). You see the usual array of fish life, but we did encounter more turtles than in other areas. For more experienced divers, if the weather is favourable it is worth heading out into the Atlantic. This is where you will find the really good wrecks and the bigger fishlife. Although Grenada is famous for the Bianca C, we found the King Mitch and some of the others in the Atlantic to be better dives. We encountered large turtles, Eagle rays, sting rays and loads of nurse sharks out there. The Shakem also harbours a lovely pink seahorse! Take the camera! The dive centre we used in Grenada was very professional and friendly, and I had the impression that they are all good in the area.
