Bali in Indonesia We dove with Prodive Bali. They seemed very unorganized, did not meet our requests (all week--and even the day of-- we had requested to do 3 dives at Nusa Penida bc it is a long boat ride, but they cancelled it only AFTER our 2nd dive there). We also felt a bit ripped off for the money we paid. Our driver also hit a moped rider....Would not recommend. We dove Tulamben, Padang Bai, Menjangen, and Nusa Penida. If I had to do it again, would only dive Nusa Penida and Tulumben. Water was very cold. We were lucky to see a mola mola at Crystal Bay and many mantas at Manta Point (Nusa Penida). The temples and monkey forest are a must see, loved the beaches and the surf too! Kuta was definitely a party town--lots of people and shopping. It was fun to rent a moped for $10 a day and the Balinese/Thai/Hotstone massages for an hour $9 are a must!

Manado in Indonesia Dove with Two Fish Divers and spent 3 days at Bunaken (wall dives with lots of fish, turtles, some sharks, coral, & a crocodilefish) and 3 days in Lembeh Straights. Awesome muck diving at Lembeh! (saw the lembeh dragaon, rhinopias, many different types of scorpionfish, frogfish, hairy frogfish, TONS of beautiful nudibranchs >20different types, wonderpus, blue spotted octopus, blue spotted stingrays, leaf scorpionfish, stargazers, mandarine fish, harlequin ghost pipefish, pygmy seahorse, flambouyant cuttlefish, sea moths, flounders, pipe fish, cardinal fish, decorator crabs, ribbon eels (lionfish and porcupine fish were a dime a dozen) etc. etc...Who would have thought you could find all that cool stuff in black sand??? MUST DO: night dives in Lembeh! Just watch out for the small jellyfish--ouch! Our only complaint was that the food wasn't very good--but the diving made up for it : )

Oahu in Hawaii Very cool dive, 2 wrecks side by side so this dive is a 2-for-1! Also cool to wave to the tourists in the Atlantis submarine that goes past. Saw almost a dozen huge green turtles & 2 white tip reef sharks.

Malapascua in Philippines Loved Exotic Beach Resort! Very catering to where we wanted to dive. Awesome boats, superb weather. Saw 2 manta rays and a Thresher Shark that came within armslength on our 1st dive at Monad Shoal!!! Saw 4 Hammerheads at Kemod Shoal. Cuttlefish, nudibranchs, frogfish, harlequin ghost pipefish, don't miss the House Reef either. Wish we had stayed longer.

Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte in Philippines We stayed at Peter's Dive Resort, it was fabulous. The macro diving was incredible! Our favorite dive was the night dive at Padre Burgos Jetty...we titled it 'the most deadly dive EVER'. Here we saw a blue ringed octopus, half a dozen hovering lionfish, scorpion fish, an orange frogfish (as big as a cat), stargazers, brittlestars, sea horses, nudibranchs, crabs, cuttlefish, flatfish, the list could go on...We also did a 'whaleshark' day, but unfortunately didn't see any; however the previous week they had seen 7 whalesharks...Can not wait to go again!

Koror in Palau Dove with Sam's Tours, they were good, but think they could have organized better so that people could do the dives they wanted to do before they left...Also had torrential rains half the week we were there that spoiled the visibility a bit. The reef hook experience was an adrenaline rush! Saw so many sharks that after a few days I was looking to see something else! Blue Corner was great; white-tip sharks, grey sharks, napoleon wrasse, potato cod, leaf scorpion fish, a herd of humpheaded parrotfish, eels, etc! Also saw pods of dolphins almost everyday on the boat ride to the next dive site. Had a blast snorkeling our last day at Jelly fish lake, coral garden, clam city, and covering ourselves with white mud at the milky way.

Maui in Hawaii We can't remember who we dove with but they took us out to Lanai on a horribly uncomfortable, bumpy raft. (Stay away from the ocean rafts!) They had promised to take us to Cathedrals (one of the best dive sites in Lanai) however, they found some excuse to not take us there. We dove Shark Fin instead--which turned out ok. We were able to watch 2 monk seals playing together and on surfacing got to come face to face?? with a manta ray. Pretty cool.

Hawaii in Hawaii The night dive in Kona is a must do! It is surreal. All the flashlights illuminate the water creating an eerie 'spacelike' glowing blue atmosphere. Then the mantas fly gracefully through the water above. Can't wait to do it again.

Townsville in Australia (East) Yongala Wreck is my absolute favorite dive in the world. So many things to see you forget there is even a sunken ship down there. BUll shark, sting rays, eagle rays, nurse shark, maori wrasse, sea snakes, wobblegongs, guitar sharks, barracuda, turtles, huge groupers, & FISH, FISH, FISH! We went with Prodive, it was a long boatride and there were crazy waves. Can't wait to dive there again with a camera!

Great Barrier Reef Liveabord in Australia (East) We dove with Reef Encounters. We absolutely loved our first liveaboard. It really was dive, eat, dive, snack, dive eat, dive, eat, dive, sleep! The coral was beautiful and diverse. We saw black and white tip sharks, maori wrasse, eels, sea snakes, stingrays, huge colorful clams, anenome, groupers, etc.
