Lanzarote in Canaries Marina Rubicon are a friendly and professional outfit (all fluent in English!!) Very enjoyable diving with plenty of Angel Shark, Stingray, Electric ray, stargazers and many more. Recommended.

Lhaviyani Atoll in Maldives Dived from Komanadoo with ProDivers who were excellent. Lovely diving, though would rate the Southern Red Sea more highly. The vis is not the best at this time of year due to a lot of plankton in the water, but all thoroughly enjoyable.
Date posted: 20-Nov-2007 12:29
RAA Atoll in Maldives Strong currents but hundreds and hundreds of fish, barracuda, big eyes, bannerfish -fantastic!
Date posted: 25-Mar-2008 22:23
Baa Atoll in Maldives Thousands of fish and pristine coral. Great dive.
Date posted: 25-Mar-2008 22:31
Liveaboard in Maldives Dived on MV Monsoon on an itinery of Northern Atolls. The Boat, dive guides, food etc were all of a fantastic standard. Not the best time of year for visibilty but we still hadf some fantastic diving.

Lizard in England & Wales A very wet weekend -it rained incessantly which took the edge off things. However, once under the water the diving was great. Dived the Volnay, the Mohegan, the Veritas and the Spyridion Vagliano. All very enjoyable with a good variety of life on them.

Torquay Riviera in England & Wales With the warm start to the year the plankton has arrived early and therefore the vis was terrible. However, the dives showed enough potential for a definite return. The life and the wrecks are certainly worth it.
Date posted: 09-May-2007 12:51
Portsmouth in England & Wales Dived off Wightdiver -excellent boat with a diver lift. Water temperature 10 degrees and visibility 3 - 4 metres.
Date posted: 10-Apr-2007 12:04
Hurghada in Egypt A great liveaboard trip form Hurghada on MY Blue Seas. The highlight was a night dive on the Thistlegorm. We went onto the Brothers and had some excellent diving there, though definitely not for the inexperienced. Hurghada itself is not somewhere I would ever choose for a landbased trip, a truly awful place! I'm told that El Gouna is much better ansd very close by.

Marsa Alam in Egypt Some fantastic diving. We saw one Manta at Elphinstone, plenty of Dolphins playing in the bow wave of the boat. The one downside is the price of dayboat diving now. It has increased disproportionately in the Red Sea over the last couple of years and a number of people were shocked at their bill at the end of the week.

Southern Red Sea Liveaboard in Egypt Dived of MV Hurricane, nice boat, good dive guides. The sail boat at Abu Galawa is a beautiful dive. The wreck is a pleasure yacht, lying on its side covered in corals. The area around is a fantastic reef of coral pinnacles and domes covered in reef fish and life. We were lucky enough to see a large fee swimming moray eel on this dive.

Plymouth in England & Wales The James Egan Layne is an atmospheric wreck sitting in 24m. It is home to a variety of life that shelter inside the wreck from the currents that that sweep the wreck when the tide is running. Well worth a visit.
Date posted: 14-Nov-2006 00:37
Northumberland Coast in England & Wales The Somali is 6809 ton cargo ship sunk by Heinkel III bombers on 27/3/1941. She was carrying a mixed cargo including medical supplies and lead soldiers. Divers still find medicine bottles and lead soldiers amongst the wreckage. The wreck is well broken but still huge and impressive, and harbours a variety of life including edible and spider crabs, lobster and conger. A great dive and to be recommended.
Date posted: 13-Nov-2006 23:47
Swanage Pier in England & Wales Swanage Pier is a nice bimble dive, ideal for begininers, testing kit and natural light photography. Nice dive.
Date posted: 29-May-2007 22:56
Farne Islands in England & Wales Seals -great fun! Playing peek a boo in the seaweed and having a go at our fins. Recommended.
Date posted: 25-Mar-2008 23:18
Littlehampton in England & Wales The Indiana is very broken and provides shelter to crab, lobster and conger. Worth a poke round.
Date posted: 26-May-2007 22:27
Gozo in Maltese Islands Nice dive destination. Some exciting shore entries and exits, fantastic caves and well developed diving infrastructure. Well worth the trip.
Date posted: 29-May-2007 23:14
Comino in Maltese Islands Great rock formations and blue seas. Relaxed shallow dive.
Date posted: 29-May-2007 23:21
Pembroke in England & Wales The Lucy is a classic wreck dive, a whole ship sat upright in 35m. The vis can be limited but it's a great dive and recommended for those with the appropriate experience.
Date posted: 06-Jun-2007 20:57
Isle of Wight in England & Wales Warwick Deeping is rare amongst British wrecks in that she is whole and actually looks like a ship. She was an armed trawler sunk by e-boats in 1940 and there is a 4 inch gun with ammunition and depth charges lying around on the wreck. This is a dive for the experienced but well worth it.
Date posted: 10-Sep-2007 22:43
Bodrum in Turkey Dived from a liveaboard Dive Gulet, the Salamakis. Lots of nice relaxed diving in warm water, 24 degrees. Saw plenty of mediterranean life such as octopus, moray eel, barracuda, jacks, cuttlefish and grouper. We also saw some ancient amphora. On shore the underwater museum in Bodrum is worth a visit if you can pull yourself away from haggling in the markets!!
Date posted: 22-Feb-2007 01:09
Scapa Flow in Scotland & Northern Ireland Dived with the Diving Cellar -great service, great boat, great dving. The Orkneys are a beautiful place and if you're a wreckie you simply have to dive here.
Date posted: 10-Nov-2006 15:02
Poole in England & Wales The Valentine tank was a WW2 amphibious tank which sank during pre D-Day exercises. It plays host to a variety of marine life and is a dive suitable for the less experienced diver.

Weymouth (Portland Harbour) in England & Wales Dived off Tango, my favorite dive boat. Great dive deck, large warm cabin and plenty of tea and hot cross buns. The Aeolian Sky is a 10,715 ton freigter wrecked in 1979 and is a great dive.
Date posted: 22-Apr-2007 22:50
East Wittering in England & Wales The Mulbery harbour is a section of the two harbours that were towed over to France and assembled ther immediatly after D-day in 1944. It attracts a variety life, and lying in shallow water, makes a good dive for novice divers.

Vobster (Somerset) in England & Wales Well organised site with good butty bar, efficient filling station, hot showers and friendly staff. The diving was good for quarry jumping too!
Date posted: 22-Apr-2007 22:39
Rhodes - Kalithea Bay in Greece A completely overdived site. At the time of my visit it was the only site on Rhodes at which the Greek authorities permitted scuba diving. As a result of this it was mobbed with two large dive schools running their full range of courses there. I simply wouldn't bother!!
Date posted: 22-Apr-2007 22:30
Northern Red Sea Liveaboard in Egypt My first liveaboard on MY Oriana. The diving was a revalation and had a great trip. All the usual Northern Wrecks and a school of 30+ hammerheads.

Looe in England & Wales Proper British Rib diving with Looe Divers. My first dive on the Egan Layne. Good weekend all round.
Date posted: 13-Jun-2007 19:52
Horsea Island in England & Wales A saltwater site ideal for training and practice. Primarily a military site used for military diver training. Had a few nice dives here.
Date posted: 25-Mar-2008 21:12
Portland in England & Wales HMS Hood used to be an ideal and impressive introduction to UK wreck diving. Unfortunately it is now out of bounds to divers. There are, however, plenty of other attractions in Portland Harbour such as the Countess of Erne and the Landing craft which are ideal and well sheltered training sites. In addition there are several efficient diving operations and plently of reasonable accomodation around Portland Harbour.

Stoney Cove in England & Wales Great place for teaching, learning and kit testing.
Date posted: 22-Feb-2007 01:19
Wraysbury in England & Wales A good training site. The vis can be very poor, so excellent for seach and recovery and navigation training as it's impossible to cheat!!
Date posted: 22-Feb-2007 01:25
Fethiye in Turkey My very first dive. I saw lots of fish but didn't have a clue what they were. It was good enough for me to come home and sign up for my open water and the rest, as they say, is history!
