Gran Canaria in Canaries We had a brilliant time diving the El Cabron marine reserve and up at Sardinia Port. We saw a Loggerhead turtle!! And just so much more. It is the best island in the Canaris for diving. We would go back again and dive with Davy Jones Diving again, they were the best dive center we have use aboard in ten years. If you want great diving without the hassle of the middle east or longhaul fights then go here and enjoy!

Gran Canaria in Canaries Angel Sharks,Lizard fishes,Blue Damsel fishes,Star gazer fishes, Electric rays,Eagle rays,Common rays,Scorpion fishes, two types of Parrot fishes,Tiger morays, and Pygmy File fish, just some of the life we saw in five days diving!

Poole in England & Wales An intresting drift if you get the tide right and contact the harbour master to make sure you are not going to cause a problem.
Date posted: 07-Jul-2012 18:49
Newquay in England & Wales A great little shore dive bimble, very easy entry and exit. There is lots to see, great training site but you need to check the tides as if you get it wrong it is a long swim back round the headland! If the wind is blowing the seas up then you can dive the other side of the headland, but it is not as good.
Date posted: 07-Jul-2012 18:38
Poole Bay spoil ground in England & Wales Great diver training ground due to no much to damage but plenty to see ie. old bits and peices that have been dregde up from the harbour. lots of servey training bits for you to play with, and maybe you will come across some really worth finding!!

Durdle door in England & Wales This site is best dived from a boat out of Loworth cove or somewhere near but can be shore dived if you are up to walking half a mile down from the car park at the top of the cliffs and climbing down/ back up the steps. If this is your type of diving then set out early to miss the people on the roads and steps. We entered at the archway side and swam round the cliff and along the seaward side, then back into the next bay. (Man of War)There is many holes and cravises to look in plus a blow hole to swim up into on calm days that is as wide as the Durdle door arch it self up inside the cliffs, not for the novice diver!! as ecsape from here is back down into the blow hole and 12m of water before you can surface again. Great diving on the south coast.

Loch Fyne in Scotland & Northern Ireland Great place to dive for clear cold water diving and food collecting! not much fish to but plenty of shellfish to see. Plenty of shore diving as well as boat diving, and a good place to head out to the island of Aran.
Date posted: 17-Oct-2010 17:55
River Etive in Scotland & Northern Ireland Is was the first time we have dived in a river and up under a waterfall, this was not a deep dive, no more than five meters, i would not say it is the best place to dive if you have not practiced good bouyance control and carried out a few fast drift dives as one false move can send you crashing in to the rocks and rapids or leave you pined up under a ledge!! But if you feel up to it and have a good bit of drift diving under your weight belt then go for it and try something to talk about for many years to come. The water was a good four degs below the local loch temp, and looked very dark but when you get in it was so much fun you could not feel the cold and the vis was better as the light can cut though the water and be bounced back off the bottom.

St Abbs, Eyemouth in Scotland & Northern Ireland One of the best place i have ever dived will be back there soon as poss.
Date posted: 03-Aug-2009 18:06
Seatown in England & Wales This was a place we picked at random and turned out to be easy access but very poor vis due to resent storms but we will go back and try it out because i think it has all the makings of a good shore dive.
Date posted: 20-May-2009 21:07
Stoney Cove in England & Wales This is a good training site if you are not near the sea, but i would not go there if i was not passing. There is no tagging/ control of numbers of divers in water or level of qual. which i found unusal for a UK inland site! The pub. stops serving food early in winter!
Date posted: 13-Nov-2008 21:25
El Gouna in Egypt The whole place is being rebuilt,a new marina or something diggers up and down the beach!! no house reef as it is under 2 ft of dirt and cerment.lots of dust in the hotels and not many resturant open. 2 hour drive from airport on dessert roads, will not go back till it has changed. What ever you do in the Red sea do not fly via Cairo airport!! we had to 'pay' 5 times to get bags though the 5 differant scanners without anyone actally whaching the screens!!!!The couple behind us had to 'pay' a armed/uniformed man just to be allowed to join the quew when he tried to complan the superviser demanded more money just to not drag them out of the line.

Pembroke in England & Wales Vis. was poor and the dive centers where unprofessional
Date posted: 16-Sep-2008 17:48
Plymouth in England & Wales The James Egan Lane is much better than the Scylla at the moment but it will not be there forever so it is great that there is something to take over fromit in the furture. I would also say that both wrecks are best dived from a rib as the hard boats take a long time to get to the sites so you can dive them before too many numpty divers start to drop on top of you!
Date posted: 11-Jun-2008 19:18
Brixham Beach in England & Wales A good training or second dive but can be effected by poor viz at lower tides
Date posted: 11-Jun-2008 19:59
Landing cove in England & Wales This is agreat dive for all levels of diver who want to try a dive away from the normal wrecky prats. You can swim in and out of revins with stone fish, wrease and rays all around you. The only down side to is the 100m walk each way over a sheep filled field! The Viz is 10m+ with no mud or sand to be disturbed. Your photos will be brilliant!
Date posted: 12-Jun-2008 22:09
Plymouth in England & Wales Great place for second dive or pick up dives from in your RIB, good food and fills accom. availible. Best place to dive the Scilla from well worth the drive down to Devon!!!!

But this make it more fun for training no!!! There is also a unusal Jelly Fish which is clamed to be stingless and only found in the lake/tank. The SETT is naer by.

Tenerife in Canaries We really enjoyed the diving and the mountins but the time share people really make your life hell topside pester you all the time and some of the town are 'chav city' larger loats and skinheads everywhere.Get out of the towns and see the hill villages is my advise.
