The Faroud is a Libyan wreck that was being worked on in a Maltese dock when an explosion on board killed 9 Maltese dockworkers. After 3 years it was moved to its current position where it was scuttled for use as a dive site. There are some swim throughs around the bridge and decks and the wheel house can be entered, which leads to the lower decks.

Faroud is probably the most visited wreck in the maltese islands though if your air use is poor you might want to pay the maltese pleasure trip boatmen there a small fee to take you out to it of do it with a DPV did my speciality on this wreck with Maltaqua great fun.

It is an easy wreck with great swim throughs! Upright and very solid.
