Papoose
Located in: North Americas Atlantic >> United States (east) >> Cape Lookout
This tanker was blown apart by a German U-boat torpedo in 1942. It lies upside down, in 120 feet of water, broken in two pieces. In some places the wreckage rises to within 90 feet. Divers love this wreck because of the sand tiger sharks that call it home. They look dangerous, but are relatively mellow. Its a great photo opportunity.
