El Condesito
Located in: European Coast >> Canaries >> Tenerife
This was a large coaster carrying a cargo of concrete which crashed into one of the walls at the lighthouse. Lying between 10-15 meters the wreck itself gives a good length of time to visit different rooms inside of the wreck. Access is easy from the forward hold swimming through the remains of the cargo. The wreck is home to a family of Trumpet Fish and Octopus with the top of the wreck surrounded by thousands of Sardines.
Dived it with Tenerifescuba - they were brilliant; lots of fish life - couple of trigger fish tried to cause a problem; wreck is breaking up but lots to see; only about 16m max. dived it with my 14 year old; some stonefish on wreck - so care; quite an easy dive; Date posted: 29-Oct-2007 19:46 by: Nikki who thought that:

Dived El Condesito in May 2006 with Aqua Marina PADI 5 star centre in Los Cristianos. Excellent hosts and a very good dive site. Wreck is not deep and I visited on only my second dive after open water qualification. Plenty of marine life live in and around the wreck. Cargo of cement bags still reside in the aft hold. Bows are broken off and the remains of this section lie beside main hull. Located very close to the shore in a natural amphitheatre of rock walls. An excellent first wreck dive for the newly qualified. Date posted: 03-Oct-2006 18:13 by: Derek who thought that:
