The Catherine
Located in: Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico >> Jamaica >> Ocho Rios
The 140 ft. steel hulled ex-minesweeper was deliberately sunk by an Ocho Rios dive operator in 1991. It sits upright, with a slight list to starboard, in the middle of a large sandy area, which is covered by manatee grass and other algae at a depth of 50 ft (15m). The superstructure is completely intact and allows entry to its interior, which is spacious enough to move around.

Dived it twice in december 2007 once during the day once at night, Ideal first wreck dive or for more advanced divers a nice relaxing dive with easy swim throughs and good vis. As it's shallow you usually have plenty of air left after exploring the wreck and we were taken through some good coral canyons looking for Moray's Etc.
