Superior Producer
Located in: Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico >> Netherlands Antilles >> Curacao
In September, 1977 Superior Producer left the Santa Anna Bay in Willemstad loaded with goods bound for Columbia. Immediately outside the harbor, heavy seas shifted the cargo and the ship began to take on water. Unable to save her, workers towed the ship away from the channel, letting her sink in her current location. Roughly 200 feet long, you’ll find this wreck sitting upright on a sand plateau between two reefs. The hull sits in 100 feet of water, with the bridge at 80 feet.
Easily accessible wreck, diving from the shore adds to the ease of reaching it! Yes the reef swim back adds as a good relaxation period after the wreck. Just be wary of heavy surf on entry and exit! Date posted: 27-Jun-2008 08:40 by: x who thought that:
