August 2007 This area has something for everyone, from 40+ meters to 6, with wrecks, arches, small caves and swim through's. Only a few weeks before diving they sunk the P29 an ex-navy vessel. Not as established as the Rozi but still a great dive.

April 2007 Colder than we were expecting for but semi dry was fine. Nice dives to suit all levels of divers. Made good use of the cafe and adjoining facilities which is rare on the island Although it looks like it was busy, it never seemed over crowded in the water...

April 2007 It was cold but worth it! Most people still in their dry suits, but a 7mm semi would be ok if you are hardened! Lovely dives, all the same... My first inroduction to Nudibranchs!

September 2006 First ever dive and then went back a couple of times. Could get quite busy around lunchtime- but visibility was spectacular!

Wreck Dives:

Here are the wreck dives we know of for Cirkewwa.

Rozi
Ranked as OK by independant reviews Ranked as OK by independant reviews
The Rozi was purposefully sunk in 1991 for Captain Morgans Underwater Safari Tours, intended as a submarine tourist attraction. The venture failed however, an dinstead the tugboat became a SCUBA wreck diving attraction.
35m / 115ft
40m / 131ft
Deliberately sunk: 01-Jul-1991 Wreck penetration is possible. Technical or decompression diving. More info...
Diver reviews for Rozi:
Due to her depth she is not suitable to inexperienced divers, she is in great shape and has an abundance of life around her. She can be penetrated with caution and experiance. All in all a nice dive.

AOW or equvilant is fine. To maximise bottom time a you need to 5m surface swim out to it. Can be a bit daunting to those who are not used to desending straight down in open water with no boat. Viz not always great, so need to know your heading!

anyone who's been to Stoney Cove this is the Stangarth in warmer water a lovely little wreck and an ideal starter wreck used a lot for the first part of wreck specialty.

At 34m you dont get long, but its not a large wreck. Not a huge amount of fish. Worth a trip, but not the best.

It was my first wreck dive as part of my advanced open water course and I thought it was fantastic. Will be looking forward to many more wreck dives in the future as my experience grows.

Bridge swim through for the less experianced and the back part of the deck is open for those not advanced enough to penetrate. Good dive.
